ADOBE SPARK PAGE - JACKIE KENNEDY
This week our project was to create an entire lesson plan with Adobe Spark Page and this app might be my new favorite teacher resource. By quickly adding images and text to one of their templates, teachers can make beautiful and professional presentations to display their information in a matter of minutes. The resulting documents look like digital magazine spreads and interactive web pages, truly impressive in many respects. I personally enjoyed all of the different ways to display pictures: glideshow, photo grid, inline, fill screen, window, and full width. I also loved all of the fonts that came with the various themes - for font snobs like myself that aspect is crucial! Throughout the next few weeks I am eager to try out Adobe Spark "Videos" and "Posts," so stay tuned if you want to hear more about the resources Adobe has to offer!
I chose to create my presentation over Jackie Kennedy, a historical figure who I have been in love with for years. Between her international influence and fashion style, she was an icon during the 1960s and her impact still lives on today. Although the content of this presentation might be slightly too advanced if I end up teaching kindergarten or first grade, it could be altered slightly and be perfect for fifth or sixth graders who are learning about the 1960s, the Cuban Missile Crisis, or JFK.
